Metal Stud Framing Calgary | Steel Studs, Bulkheads & Basement Walls | Emplastrum Drywall
Metal stud framing in Calgary, start to finish - steel studs, track layout, bulkheads and basement partition walls, framed by the same crew that boards and tapes them after. Here is what steel studs buy you. Lumber shrinks, twists and crowns as it dries, and that movement shows up later as a seam telegraphing through the paint. Steel does not move, so a wall framed in steel studs stays dead flat - which matters most under a Level 5 finish, or on a long wall where side light rakes across it. Steel is non-combustible too, so it belongs around furnace rooms, party walls and suite separations where 5/8-inch Type X board is going on anyway. Watch the track. Metal stud framing in Calgary is really a layout trade: the floor and ceiling track set the line, and a track out by a hair at one end puts a bow in the wall no amount of mud will hide. Studs on centre, backing behind every opening, then board, tape and finish. Metal stud framing in Calgary: basements, bulkheads and soffits in Tuscany, Evergreen, Auburn Bay and every quadrant.
