Do you remove knockdown ceilings in Stonegate?

Yes — Stonegate is part of our regular service area and we are usually booked within the week. We also cover Airdrie, Bayside, Chinook Gate and every Calgary quadrant.

Is knockdown ceiling removal messy?

That reputation comes from careless crews; our Stonegate process masks, protects and controls dust throughout. We leave your Stonegate home clean.

Can you make the ceiling completely flat?

Yes — texture off, then your Stonegate ceiling gets skimmed to Level 4 or Level 5, paint-ready. If a new texture suits your Stonegate home better, we apply that instead.

Can you fix cracks while the texture is off in my Stonegate home?

Yes — removal exposes the Stonegate board, we repair cracks, pops and staining, then skim — clean and sound underneath.

Do you stand behind your knockdown removal in Stonegate?

Yes. We walk every Stonegate ceiling with you under raking light before we pack up, and if something is not right we come back and make it right.

Knockdown ceiling removal in Stonegate for a clean modern ceiling

A textured splatter ceiling makes a Stonegate room feel old while its ridges gather dust and cobwebs. In Stonegate we remove dated knockdown texture and refinish the ceiling — either skimmed dead-flat to a smooth modern look or re-textured cleanly. Stonegate is a newer Airdrie community where basement development and finishing are common, so the knockdown work here is usually refresh and resurfacing before a repaint. We cover Stonegate and all of Airdrie, 7 days a week.

What affects the cost of knockdown ceiling removal in Stonegate?

Area, finish and condition

The cost in Stonegate depends on the ceiling area, the finish you want (a dead-flat Level 5 takes more skim work than a re-texture), and the condition underneath — cracks or stains found once the texture is off add a little time. We assess on site and price it before we start.

Skim flat vs re-texture in Stonegate

Most homeowners here go flat for a modern look, but we also re-texture cleanly if you prefer. We tell you what each option involves so you can choose for your Stonegate ceiling.

Our Stonegate knockdown removal process, step by step

Mask, protect and scrape

Knockdown removal in Stonegate is messy if it is done wrong, so we mask walls, mask off the room and protect floors first, then scrape the texture cleanly back to the board.

Skim, sand and finish

With the texture off, we repair any cracks or stains, then skim the ceiling flat in coats with full drying time, sand and check under raking light — or apply a clean new texture if that is what you chose. Your Stonegate ceiling is ready for primer and the room is cleaned before we go. Housing in Stonegate is mixed, which is why we look before we quote rather than after.

Skim flat or re-texture? What suits your Stonegate ceiling

Flat, modern ceilings

A dead-flat ceiling is the current look and the one most Stonegate homeowners choose when they remove knockdown — it makes a room feel larger and cleaner.

A fresh, consistent texture

If you prefer texture, we can apply a clean knockdown or a lighter finish that is even across the whole ceiling, rather than the dated, heavy splatter that is there now. Both come up here. In Stonegate we see everything from original finishes to recent renovations on the same block.

Common knockdown removal situations in Stonegate

In Stonegate, homeowners across Stonegate call us for drywall done right the first time. We repair holes, stress cracks, nail pops and water stains, then texture-match so the fix disappears. We patch, texture-match, prime and paint in one visit so the wall looks completely finished. Fast, clean and paint-ready, most repairs in a single visit. Same trusted team, same process on every job — on-site quote, fixed price, no surprises.
