In Hawkwood and Ranchlands, 1980s and early 1990s homes often have single-layer 1/2″ drywall with minimal insulation in interior walls. Sound carries from room to room easily. Adding acoustic board and proper insulation batts makes a substantial difference in these older builds — this is retrofit work we do frequently in the established NW belt.
In Royal Oak, Kincora, Nolan Hill and Carrington, newer builds have better insulation by default but still benefit from acoustic upgrades in media rooms or suite separations. We work with homeowners who want to do the job once and get it right, not twice.
